This is the second studio album by the American music duo the Carpenters, released on August 19, 1970. In 2003, the album was ranked No. 175 on Rolling Stone's  list of the 500 greatest albums of all time,  maintaining the rating in a 2012 revised list. The album contains the hit singles"(They Long To Be) Close To You" and "We've Only Just Begun." The success of the title track earned Carpenters an international reputation. The album peaked at #2 on the U.S. Billboard albums chart. The album and its singles earned Carpenters eight Grammy Award nominations. This record is in Very Good Plus condition, and its sleeve in Very Good condition with some minor wear.
