Donovan is a Scottish musician, songwriter, and record producer. He emerged from the British folk scene in early 1965 and subsequently scored multiple international hit singles and albums during the late 1960s. His work became emblematic of the flower power era with its blend of Folk, pop, psychedelica, and jazz stylings. The Hurdy Gurdy Man is his sixth studio album. It was released in North America in October 1968 on Epic Records, but not in the UK due to a continuing contractual dispute that also prevented Sunshine Superman (1966) and Mellow Yellow (1967) from being released there. The album was another top 20 success in America, his fifth in a row, following the top 5 success of the title track. This record and its sleeve are in Very Good Plus condition. This one comes from my personal collection.
***We use the Goldmine Grading Guide, a universally accepted standard for representing the condition of physical music in the resale market. The levels range from Mint (perfect) down to Fair/Poor (damaged). For more information on gradings, please see our home page. All albums are freshly cleaned, play tested, and shipped with a protective anti-static inner sleeve and a premium polyethylene outer, unless otherwise specified. If you are looking for a single or album we don't have, send a message and we'll look for it! Happy grooving!***
