Fabian is an American singer and actor. He rose to national prominence after performing several times on American Bandstand, and became a teen idol of the late 1950s and early 1960s. Eleven of his songs reached the Billboard Hot 100. I'm Gonna Sit Right Down And Write Myself A Letter is a 1935 popular song with music by Fred E. Ahlert and lyrics by Joe Young. It has been recorded many times, and has become a standard of the Great American Songbook. Fabian recorded and released this version in 1960.
