The title track on this album is a cover of the famous Jefferson Airplane song by Grace Slick. The album was described at Billboard as "a dynamic pop-packed jazz LP with two extraordinary works "Californina Dreaming" and "White Rabbit." For this project producers Creed Taylor and DonSebesky used the formula that gave them good results in other recordings with Verve Records and A&M Records: two successful rock/pop songs covers, music from a well-known soundtrack like "Theme From Summer of '42," a jazzy version of a classical Brazilian song ("Little Train"), and an original George Benson composition, "El Mar." All tracks feature Herbie Hancock, Ron Carter, Billy Cobham, Airto Moreira, Jay Berliner, and Hubert Laws, plus nine studio musicians playing at different wind instruments and harp arrangements. This album was the recorded debut of guitartist Earl Klugh, only 17 years old then, featuring on "El Mar." This record is in Very Good Plus condition, and is a reissue. The sleeve is in Very Good condition with some wear to the back.
