The Five Stairsteps previously had limited success recording in Chicago with Curtis Mayfield, but when his workload precluded his continuing to work with the group, they were reassigned. The Five Stairsteps' debut collaboration with producer Stan Vincent was the group's rendition of The Beatles' Dear Prudence, designated as the A-side with Vincent's original composition O-o-h Child as the B-side. However, "O-o-h Child" broke out in the key markets of Philadelphia and Detroit to rise as high as #8 on the Billobard Hot 100 in the summer of 1970. This single is in Very Good condition.

***We use the Goldmine Grading Guide, a universally accepted standard for representing the condition of physical music in the resale market. The levels range from Mint (perfect) down to Fair/Poor (damaged). For more information on gradings, please see our home page. All singles are freshly cleaned and shipped in a crisp white inner sleeve covered with a protective vinyl outer, unless otherwise specified. If you are looking for a song we don't have, send a message and we'll look for it! Happy grooving!***
