The Beach Boys are an American rock band formed in Hawthorn, California in 1961. The group's original lineup consisted of brothers Brian, Dennis, and Carl Wilson, their cousin Mike Love, and friend Al Jardine. Distinguished by its vocal harmonies, adolescent-oriented lyrics, and musical ingenuity, the band is one of the most influential acts of the rock era. Under Brian's direction, it often incorporated classical or jazz elements and unconventional recording techniques in innovative ways. Darlin' was written by Brian Wilson and Mike Love, and was inspired by singer Danny Hutton (the title word featured heavily in his vocabulary.) It was originally intended to be recorded by an early version of Three Dog Night. Carl Wilson ultimately sang the lead vocal. It peaked at number 19 in the U.S. and number 11 in the UK. This single is in Very Good condition, and comes in a Capitol Records company sleeve.

***We use the Goldmine Grading Guide, a universally accepted standard for representing the condition of physical music in the resale market.
